Since childhood, A. Dunbar McIntosh (RSW, RGI) has lived in close proximity to sea, loch, river and mountains. As a painter, he has the desire to investigate form, colour, texture and mood and responds through drawing and painting. He feels it is part of his cultural heritage to interpret and translate the many influences in his life and soul. Within the larger vision, there exist many smaller component parts that can combine to wear the whole. For example, a small harbour can present graphic images of fishermen ropes, reels, boxes, boats and birds - each with the potential for interpretation of changing lights, changing moods, changing seasons and changing vision.
